And the last quick post of the day sees Mark Kermode put his money on the table and declare that once again 3D cinema will die out and once more be seen as a daft old gimmick.
I'm not so sure but I've yet to see a 3D film that really makes me think it's the way forwards

I'm saying it's here to say. It's not simply cinema that is making the move but the move of TV as well (in particular sport - catch the last Champions League Match in 3D?) and the fact that what were fairly large technical constants are largely gone makes me think it is here to tay.
Oh and Alice in Wonderland by Tim Burton was exceptional in 3D.
I'm not sure. I'm not as down on it as Kermode but I've yet to anything to convince me it's something really worth pursuing. But then that probably partially down to people still learning what they can do with and how best to use it.
I do think the glasses will remain a barrier to it for a quite awhile though.
